30 Mount Row, Mayfair
A masterclass in material contrast and technical precision. This high-end Central London project transforms private bathrooms, living areas, and an exterior terrace into a sanctuary of stone, featuring Alpi Verde, Calacatta marble, and ultra-thin porcelain.
Project Overview
Located in the heart of Central London, this high-end residential project at 30 Mount Row showcases a masterclass in material contrast and technical precision. Working with both exquisite natural marble and 1200x3600 mm porcelain panels, VTMV was commissioned to execute a comprehensive, start-to-finish installation spanning bathrooms, living areas, and exterior spaces.
The Challenge
Working with exquisite natural stone and ultra-thin 6mm porcelain panels requires absolute precision. The project demanded flawless transitions, from the contrasting use of dark Alpi Verde and bright Calacatta marble with linear brass floor inlays, to perfect indoor-outdoor flow on the terrace.
The Process
Detailed Surveying
Precise templating was carried out to accommodate the unique architectural curves and niche integrations. Every measurement was critical to ensure the natural veining of the marble could be showcased to its full potential.
Premium Waterproofing
High-spec tanking and preparation were executed to protect the structure and ensure the longevity of the stone. This provided a perfectly stable, waterproof foundation for the heavy marble panels.
Master Bathroom & Living Areas
We installed floor-to-ceiling 1200x3600 mm porcelain coverage with integrated niches in the master bathroom, and feature walls with a custom-wrapped fireplace in the living areas.
Precision Porcelain & Exterior
By performing all miter cuts and assembly on-site, we ensured perfect alignment and razor-sharp edges. The terrace received durable, matching flooring to achieve a seamless indoor-outdoor integration.
The Result
A breathtaking sanctuary of stone. The dark, organic backdrop of the Alpi Verde provides a stunning contrast to the bright, airy Calacatta marble. Linear brass floor inlays elegantly bridge the transition between the stone slabs. Meanwhile, the precision-installed porcelain panels and seamlessly integrated terrace ensure this residence will remain a timeless example of luxury design.
